The Winston-Salem Open at Wake Forest University has introduced a group ticket sales program aimed at making tickets to the tournament more accessible to groups. Groups that purchase ten or more reserved daily tickets for the same session in the grandstands during the Winston-Salem Open will receive 30 percent off all tickets and one free ticket.
“We wanted to make the tournament as accessible as possible for youth and seniors groups, churches, local sports leagues and other organizations,†tournament director Bill Oakes said. “To help members of local organizations attend the tournament, we are offering a significant discount off the individual ticket price. We’ll even include a free ticket for every group to give as a bonus to the organizer of the group or to the bus driver.â€
“We began taking group ticket orders last week,†Oakes added. “If the public response is anything like the one we got when individual tickets went on sale, we expect a robust demand for group tickets.â€
Individual session ticket prices to the Winston-Salem Open range from $10 for qualifying rounds on August 20 to $58 for the finals on August 27 (children 12 and under are admitted free to all sessions). Handicapped access, box seats and ticket packages for all 14 sessions also are available.
