Del Potro Withdraws From Davis Cup Due to Wrist Injury

Not only did Argentina lose their doubles rubber to the Czech Republic in the Davis Cup World Group semifinal on Saturday, but they’ve lost their top player for the rest of the tie.

Juan Martin Del Potro who defeated Radek Stepanek on Friday, has pulled out of Davis Cup with an injured wrist.

Del Potro was warned by his physician that he wrist was at risk if he played Davis Cup this weekend.

Taking Del Potro’s place for Argentina in reverse singles on Sunday will be Carlos Berlocq, he’ll face Tomas Berdych.

The Czech Republic leads Argentina 2-1 in the tie.
