(February 11, 2013) The ITF has announced the seeds for the Draw for the 2013 Fed Cup World Group and World Group II play-offs. The Draw will take place on Wednesday 13 February at the ITF offices in London at 10:00 GMT.

The seeds are based on the new ITF Fed Cup Nations Ranking of 11 February: www.fedcup.com/en/rankings

The four seeded nations in the World Group play-offs are:

Serbia (1)

USA (2)

Australia (3)

Japan (4)

Each of the seeds will be drawn against one of the following unseeded nations:

Germany

Spain

Sweden

Switzerland

The four seeded nations in the World Group II play-offs are:

Belgium (1)

Ukraine (2)

France (3)

Great Britain (4)

Each of the seeds will be drawn against one of the following unseeded nations:

Argentina

Canada

Kazakhstan

Poland

The 2013 World Group and World Group II play-offs will take place alongside the World Group semifinals on 20-21 April. In the semifinals, Russia will be at home to Slovak Republic, and Italy will be at home to Czech Republic.
