Ferrer Advances, Haas Falls at Valencia Open

(October 23, 2013) No. 1 seed David Ferrer eased past Gael Monfils 6-3, 6-2 in 62 minutes. While in a battle of Germans, Philipp Kohlschreiber upset second seed Tommy Haas 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 at the Valencia Open. Ferrer is looking to capture his fourth Valencia title. He has a 26-5 record at the tournament.

In a match full of power-serving, John Isner hit 17 aces to top Ernests Gulbis 7-6(4), 7-6(2)
