(October 25, 2013) Roger Federer beat Grigor Dimitrov 6-3, 7-6 (2) on Friday in the quarterfinals of his hometown tournament, the Swiss Indoors in Basel.
Should Federer win the tournament for a sixth time, he’d automatically clinch a berth for the ATP World Tour Finals in London next month.
Federer was forced to bounce back from a 3-5, 0-40 deficit in the second set to defat his 22-year-old opponent. Federer sailed through the second set tiebreak to claim his 50th win at the Basel event.
