(June 2, 2014) Award-winning recording artist Prince was in attendance at Roland Garros on Monday to watch “King of Clay.” Rafael Nadal win his 32nd straight match in Paris, breaking his own record. Nadal destroyed Dusan Lajovic 6-1, 6-2, 6-1 to move into the quarterfinals where he’ll face fellow Spaniard David Ferrer.
Prince, winner of multiple Grammys, MTV Music Awards and an Oscar for the score of “Purple Rain,” was seated in the back of the Presidential box of Centre Court, Philippe Chatrier holding a shiny cane.
Prince stayed until the end of the match and was greeted with applause from spectators and he left the stadium.
Prince gave a concert on Sunday in Paris at Zenith de Paris. Prince will play Berlin on Tuesday at the Temperdrom.
