The tournament, which is the second oldest tennis event in the United States, will feature top collegiate tennis players from across the country as well as a strong field of independent competitors, which includes teaching professionals, top junior players, college coaches and former tour players.
“We are anticipating an exciting four days of great doubles action next week,” said Tournament Director Bill Kellogg. “Fans have a good opportunity to watch some of the tennis stars of the future. Several of our recent champions such as Steve Johnson (2010), Bradley Klahn (2011-2012), Marcos Giron (2013) and Dennis Novikov (2013) are all currently playing on the men’s professional tennis circuit.”

Starting times for each day of the tournament will be as follows: Thursday, March 5 – 2 p.m.; Friday, March 6 – 8 a.m.; Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8 – 9 a.m. (All times are PST) Sunday’s schedule will feature the semifinals, followed by the final (after suitable rest).

The San Diego United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) Divisional Convention will be held concurrently with the Pacific Coast Men’s Doubles Championship at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club on Sunday, March 8. The convention, which begins at 8 a.m. (PST), will feature a full-schedule of guest speakers including former touring tennis professional and tennis coach Larry Stefanki and National USPTA CEO/Executive Director John Embree.
