(June 2, 2014) The quarterfinals of the French Open were set on Monday, with Simona Halep, Sara Errani, Jelena Jankovic completing the final 8.

The highest seed left in the tournament, No.4 Simona Halep outclassed No. 15 Sloane Stephens, 6-4, 6-3. Halep will play No.27 seed and 2009 French Open champion Svetlana Kuznetsova, who beat No.23 seed Lucie Safarova 6-3, 6-4.

2012 French Open finalist Sara Errani defeated Jelena Jankovic7-6(5), 6-2.

Errani will meet No. 28 Andrea Petkovic in the final 8. Petkovic beat Dutch qualifier Kiki Bertens 1-6, 6-2, 7-5.
