Entry Deadline Approaching for 129th Annual Pacific Coast Men’s Doubles Championship

ENTRY DEADLINE FOR UPCOMING 129th ANNUAL PACIFIC COAST
MEN’S DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIP SET FOR SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2018

Tournament to be Played March 1-4, 2018 at La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club

LA JOLLA, Calif. – (February 14, 2018) – The deadline to enter the 129th Annual Pacific Coast Men’s Doubles Championship is Sunday, February 18, 2018. The tournament, which is the second-oldest tennis event in the United States, will take place March 1-4, 2018 at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, 2000 Spindrift Dr, La Jolla, CA 92037.

Many of the best NCAA Men’s college teams in the country are expected to compete, including:

Boise State
Boston College
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS)
Oklahoma State University
Pepperdine
San Diego State University
Stanford
UC Berkeley
Fresno State University
UC Davis
UC Irvine
UC Los Angeles
UC San Diego
University of Southern California
University of San Diego
Villanova
Pomona Pitzer

Also entering this tournament will be top teaching pros, promising juniors, college coaches and former tour players, making this one of the most interesting and unusual competitor fields in the country.

La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club welcomes tennis spectators to view the tournament with free admission. On-site parking is available for a nominal fee.

A free Youth Tennis Clinic for intermediate and advanced players ages 10-18 will be held from 7 to 9 a.m. on Sunday, March 4 at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club in conjunction with the United States Professional Tennis Association San Diego Division Workshop.

The clinic, which will offer tennis drills, games and exercises, will be led by Wayne Bryan, father of tennis legends Bob and Mike Bryan, and San Diego tennis teaching professionals. Snacks and beverages will be provided to participants and their parents.
