USTA and Bouchard Reach Settlement Agreement
(February 23, 2018) On Friday, the United States Tennis Association and Canadian player Eugenie Bouchard reached a settlement in her liability lawsuit which ended a trial in which the Canadian testified that she slipped and fell on a wet locker room floor at the 2015 US Open, sustaining a head injury. The deal done behind closed doors will not be made public.

“We have reached an agreement with Eugenie Bouchard and are glad that this matter has reached an amicable conclusion for both parties. We would like to thank the court and jurors for their service. We also wish Ms. Bouchard the best of luck moving forward.”
Various media reports that the 23-year-old Canadian says that she feels “vindicated” by the decision.
Bouchard once ranked at No. 5 in the world, now is at No. 116.
