It was a battle between the two 17-year-olds for the title. Danilovic lost in the first round of qualifying, came back into the tournament as a Lucky Loser and upended top seed Julia Georges in the quarterfinals. She is the first Lucky Loser to win a WTA title.

Danilovic, who is 17 and 187 days, is the first player born in the 2000s to win a WTA title and the youngest champion since Aha Konjuh at 2015 Nottingham.
