Davis Cup Results for September 15, 2018

The ITF has announced the latest results for the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group semifinals
and World Group play-offs taking place on 14-16 September, the Zone Group I ties taking place on
14-15 September and the Zone Group II ties taking place on 15-16 September (NB: Egypt v Finland is
taking place on 14-15 September). A total of 18 ties will be held this weekend.
The two semifinal winners will contest the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Final on 23-25 November. The
eight winners of the World Group play-offs will join the four losing quarterfinalists from 2018 as
seeded nations in the draw for the 2019 Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Finals Qualifying Round.
The eight losers of the World Group play-offs are not guaranteed a place in the Davis Cup Finals
Qualifying Round. The 12 unseeded nations in February’s Qualifying Round will be determined by the
Davis Cup Nations Ranking of Monday 17 September, with six nations coming from Europe/Africa,
three from Americas and three from Asia/Oceania.
Live scoring for all ties will be available on the official Davis Cup website throughout the weekend and
live streaming will be available for the World Group semifinals and play-offs. In addition, the English
and Spanish versions of the website will both feature a live blog, reports, photographs, and exclusive
video content.
