Stefanos Tsitsipas to Headline 2019 Tennis With The Stars
Greek world No. 15 and Next Gen star joins Tiafoe & Bouchard
Rancho Mirage, CA (January 21, 2019) — World no. 15 and rising star Stefanos Tsitsipas has been confirmed for Cliff Drysdale Management’s 5th annual Tennis With The Stars presented by the BNP Paribas Open on March 5, 2019. Hosted at Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa, the charity event will benefit local non-profit Desert Arc and national non-profit ACEing Autism.
Ranked no. 15 in the world, Tsitsipas had a breakout season in 2018, earning the ATP’s Most Improved Player award. The 20-year-old Greek standout won his first ATP Title in Stockholm, and made two other finals in Barcelona and Toronto. He defeated five top 10 players during the season, highlighted by win over world no. 1 Novak Djokovic in Toronto. He capped off the year by winning the ATP’s Next Gen Finals title, defeating fellow rising stars in Milan. At the 2019 Australian Open, Tsitsipas earned an incredible four set victory over two time defending champion Roger Federer to reach the quarterfinals of a major for the first time.

The 5th Annual Tennis With The Stars presented by the BNP Paribas Open features top ATP and WTA stars competing with and against amateur players, hosted at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort and Spa.
