Seeds announced for Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group and World Group II Play-offs
The ITF has announced the seeds for the 2019 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group and World Group II play-offs. The draw will take place on Tuesday 12 February at the ITF headquarters in London at 12pm GMT. The draw will be streamed live at FedCup.com
The seeds are based on the new Fed Cup Nations Ranking of 11 February.
World Group Play-offs
The four seeded nations are:
Czech Republic (1), USA (2), Germany (3), Belgium (4)
Each of the seeds will be drawn against one of the following unseeded nations:
Canada, Latvia, Spain, Switzerland
World Group II Play-offs
The four seeded nations are:
Russia (1), Netherlands (2), Great Britain (3), Slovakia (4)
Each of the seeds will be drawn against one of the following unseeded nations:
Brazil, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan
The World Group and World Group II play-offs will take place on 20-21 April. The semifinals, featuring Australia at home to Belarus and France hosting Romania will also take place on 20-21 April.
