“Playing doubles with a family member in a competitive tennis tournament, especially at the national level, is a unique privilege,” said Tournament Director Todd Sprague. “It provides a rare opportunity to compete against the very best players in the country while playing the sport we love with those closest to us. And the friendships developed with other players during these events can last a lifetime.”

The following divisions will be played during the USTA National Father-Daughter & Mother-Son Hard Court Championships:
Father-Daughter Doubles (No age limitation for either player)
Senior Father-Daughter Doubles (Father must be 60 or older)
Super Senior Father-Daughter Doubles (Father must be 70 or older)
Ultra Senior Father-Daughter Doubles (Father must be 80 or older)
Mother-Son Doubles (No age limitation for either player)
Senior Mother-Son Doubles (Mother must be 60 or older)
Super Senior Mother-Son Doubles (Mother must be 70 or older)

Each division will offer round robin pool play feeding into a quarterfinal or semifinal bracketed draw. Players will be pooled in groups of 3 or 4 teams. All matches will be two sets with a match tiebreak.

Tournament officials anticipate all teams playing a minimum of three matches in the tournament. Teams should plan on playing 2 matches each of the first two days of the event depending on the size of the draw. Draws will be limited to 32 teams per division.

All competitors will receive special player gifts, an invitation to an exclusive player dinner on the beach in La Jolla, a complimentary continental breakfast and lunch on Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8 and discounted rates for local hotel accommodations.
