from USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.

LOS ANGELES, May 13, 2019 -Tennis Channel will carry the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Tennis National Championships live for the first time, and serve as their exclusive television home. The network will have more than 50 hours of live tennis from the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla, with coverage from May 16 through May 25. Tennis Channel will show the most hours of NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Tennis National Championships action in television history, with live matches every day of the 10-day tournament.

The championships are broken down into two stages over the course of the 10-day event, with team competition first, followed by individual play. The team tournament, from May 16-19, features the top eight men’s and women’s teams to emerge from an initial field of 64 schools. Following the conclusion of team play, the men’s and women’s individual championships will begin on May 20 and run through May 25. For individual play, the field features 64 singles players and 32 doubles pairings for the men’s and women’s doubles tournament (full schedule follows).

Tennis Channel will feature veteran broadcaster Sam Gore (@sambgore) as the play-by-play announcer with Immediate Past President of the USTA and longtime network commentator Katrina Adams (@katadams68) as analyst. Adams won the NCAA doubles title in 1987 while at Northwestern University. Hana Ostapchuk (@HanaOstapchuk) will be on-site as a reporter for the competition.

“It’s great for these talented players to compete for college tennis’ highest honor on national television on Tennis Channel,” said Adams. “As a facility focused on nurturing tennis talent of all levels and ages and its dedicated collegiate tennis center, the USTA National Campus is the perfect venue for the NCAA Championships.”
