More Than Matches On Tap With Activities Planned All Tournament
CINCINNATI (July 30, 2019) – A number of special events are planned while world class tennis takes place at the Western & Southern Open. The tournament will be held August 10-18 at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio.
The activities include interactive opportunities for youth to get on a court as well as events to celebrate community members who serve others.
These events kick off before the tournament even starts with the Play Tennis Cincinnati clinics that will be held Aug. 5-8. Nearly 300 Cincinnati children have registered to take part in these four-day clinics to learn the game from area instructors. These clinics, which are at capacity, will be just the start, as these same youth will be invited to enjoy further instruction this fall at facilities around Cincinnati.
On the eve of the tournament, Aug. 9, the Porsche Draw Ceremony will be held to determine the matchups for the tournament. The invite-only reception and dinner will see fans given the opportunity to help create the draw and determine the path to the title for the eventual champion.
