
Magda Linette Wins Thailand Open for Second Career WTA Title
(February 16, 2020) Fifth seed Magda Linette ended the run for Swiss qualifier Leonie Kung 6-3, 6-2 to win the Thailand Open final on Sunday to win her second career WTA title. The Pole dominated the Swiss teen with her serve and all-around game.
Linette said that she knew that she had to be aggressive throughout. Linette adds this trophy to her Bronx Open trophy which she won in August.
The win puts the Polish player into the WTA Top 40 for the first time.
