LOS ANGELES, March 25, 2020 – Tennis Channel is adding Hall of Famer and former World No. 1 Andy Roddick to its daily show Tennis Channel Live during the current professional-tennis hiatus. Roddick, 2003 US Open champion and one of the most popular and dominant players of his era, will act as a contributing guest on the series, joining from home via video during the next several weeks. His first appearance will be during today’s edition, which is set for 12 p.m. ET. Tennis Channel Live airs weekdays from 12 p.m.-3 p.m. ET, followed by encore presentations at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET.

Roddick will offer opinion and insight gained from a 13-year career. He is the most recent Hall of Famer to share his thoughts with Tennis Channel audiences, joining a list that currently includes Martina Navratilova (@Martina), Jim Courier, Tracy Austin (@thetracyaustin) and Lindsay Davenport (@LDavenport76).

Welcome to the family, @andyroddick! ?

The former World No. 1 and Grand Slam champion joins @Steve_Weissman, @paul_annacone, and @LDavenport76 to weigh in on the G.O.A.T.S and who his recent favorites are to watch.

“I’m fired up to join the Tennis Channel team and talk about our sport and its great players and history during this break in the action,” said Roddick.

Roddick won the US Open in 2003 when he was 21 years old. It was a season that he would end as the No. 1-ranked singles player in the world. Roddick won 32 singles titles and finished in the Top 10 for much of his career – including nine consecutive years from 2002-2010 – and was respected by opponents and fans around the world as a threat to win any event he entered. A consistent force on the U.S. Davis Cup team, in 2007 Roddick led the Americans to their first championship in 12 years, defeating Russia in the finals. He is second behind John McEnroe in all-time U.S. Davis Cup singles-match victories (33) and remains the most recent American man to win a singles title at one of tennis’ four major tournaments. Roddick was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2017.
