
Simona Halep, Su-Wei Hsieh and Priscilla Hon Withdraw From US Open
(August 17, 2020) Simona Halep, Su-Wei Hsieh and Priscilla Hon have all withdrawn from the US Open as of Monday.
Last year’s Wimbledon champion Halep of Romania announced on her social media that she’ll be skipping the US Open later this month due to the COVID -19 pandemic.

In addition Su-Wei Hsieh of Taiwan Priscilla Hon of Australia have also have withdrawn from the US Open.
With the withdrawals, Usue Arconada of the US and and Lesia Tsurenko of the Ukraine will move into the main draw. Allie Kiick of the US receives the wild card previously awarded to Arconada.
