
(January 14, 2022) On Friday, Australia’s Immigration Minister Alex Hawke canceled Novak Djokovic’s visa on public interest grounds. The men’s world No. 1 from Serbia who is in the draw for the Australian Open was just a few days away from playing the tournament. Just days ago, after being detained in an immigration detention hotel for four days, Djokovic was released and his initial visa was granted. Djokovic’s lawyers are appealing.
