(August 23, 2023) FLUSHING MEADOWS – The US Open’s Stars of the Open event raised $320,000 for Ukraine humanitarian relief, as the star-studded US Open Fan Week event dazzled a capacity crowd of 14,000 inside Louis Armstrong Stadium on Wednesday night.
NBA superstar Jimmy Butler and Grammy Award-winner Sebstián Yatra stole the show while sharing the court with world No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz and Top-10 player Frances Tiafoe.
John McEnroe and world No. 3 Jessica Pegula then defeated Matteo Berrettini and Gabriela Sabatini with the support of “Ace,” a service dog with the K9s for Warriors program.
Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils closed out the event with a mixed doubles match vs. Americans Chris Eubanks and Jenny Brady.
