Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram improved their Davis Cup doubles record to 7-2 together and clinched the U.S. Davis Cup team’s berth into the second round of 2025 Qualifying, as the Americans advanced past Chinese Taipei in Tapei City with a 4-0 tie victory this weekend in the Qualifying First Round.
The former world doubles No. 1s defeated Ray Ho and Tung-Lin Wu, 6-4, 7-6(4), on Saturday to clinch the best-of-five matchup before Mackenzie McDonald added a 6-2, 6-3 win over Tsung-Hao Huang in a dead singles match.
The U.S. will now host Czechia in the Qualifying Second Round September 12-14, with specific date and site information to be confirmed. The Second Round winners then advance to the eight-nation Davis Cup Final 8 that will crown this year’s Davis Cup champion in November in Bologna, Italy.
