(January 5, 2026) Tennis Canada – Tennis Canada announced its roster for the upcoming Davis Cup Qualifiers 1st Round tie, set to take place from February 6-7, 2026, at the University of British Columbia’s (UBC) Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia. Captained by Frank Dancevic, Team Canada will be comprised of Gabriel Diallo, Liam Draxl, Alexis Galarneau , Nicolas Arseneault, and Cleeve Harper.
“We are very pleased to announce such a strong team for our upcoming Davis Cup tie in Vancouver,” said team captain Frank Dancevic. “Last year, for the first time in a long time, we didn’t make it to the final stage of the competition, which has only motivated us even more to make it happen this year. It all starts now against an excellent Brazilian team, and I am confident that our players are ready to take on the challenge. Diallo is set to make his 10th Davis Cup appearance, all consecutive. The 24-year-old has a 4-1 record in Davis Cup play on home soil, and an overall record of 6-6. After a breakthrough 2024 season that saw him enter the world’s Top 100, Diallo managed to take another step forward in 2025, winning his first ATP
Tour title at the Libema Open, an ATP 250 event, and reaching a career-high ranking of No. 33. The Montrealer also advanced to his first ATP 1000 quarter-final at the Mutua Madrid Open.
