(April 15, 2026) LTA – Former ATP doubles No.1, and seven-time Grand Slam champion Jamie Murray, has today confirmed his retirement as a player following an illustrious career.
The LTA reflects on his career here, highlights of which include:
- Seven-time Grand Slam doubles champion
- Men’s doubles: Australian Open (2016) & US Open (2016)
- Mixed doubles: Wimbledon (2007 & 2017) & US Open (2017, 2018 & 2019)
- Reached 13 Grand Slam men’s doubles finals
- 34 ATP Tour doubles titles – including Cincinnati Masters (2018), Queen’s Club (2017) and Nottingham Open (2007)
- 589 Tour-level match wins (over 1000 Tour-level matches)
- Davis Cup champion with Great Britain in 2015
- 20 ties played for Great Britain at the Davis Cup
- Four Olympic Games for Team GB
- Tournament Director at the HSBC Championships, Battle of the Brits and Murray Trophy
- First brothers to simultaneously hold the world No.1 spots in singles and doubles alongside Andy

LTA Head of Men’s Tennis and Davis Cup Captain Leon Smith said: “Jamie’s been an unbelievable player representing Great Britain on the world stage over his career. He played an invaluable role in our Davis Cup 2015 winning campaign, and we have many great memories from across the 20 ties he’s played. He’s positively impacted the game of doubles in this country, and globally, with his achievements and commitment to the game and it was a great privilege to be a part of his career over the years.”
