The latest episode features 16-year-old Slovakian Renata Jamrichova, who won the Australian Open girls’ singles title in January and who is currently the No. 1 player in the ITF World Tennis Tour Junior girls rankings. In recent months, Jamrichova has claimed two ITF World Tennis Tour titles (the first professional titles of her career), starred for Slovakia during April’s Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Qualifiers and won the Roland Garros girls’ doubles title alongside Tereza Valentova of Czechia. The video goes behind the scenes and takes a close look at Jamrichova’s daily routine. Viewers also get to meet her charismatic coach Jan, see the court on which she first played tennis and witness her playing the piano. Last month, the first episode in the series featured Austria’s Joel Schwaerzler – who, like Jamrichova, was the junior world No. 1 at the time of filming. Since the film was published, Schwaerzler has won his first professional title at the Skopje Challenger in North Macedonia. The video has amassed more than 150,000 views since publication. Episode three of the series will feature Kenya’s Angella Okutoyi, with filming having taken place in Nairobi while Okutoyi represented her nation in the Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Africa Group III event last week. Okutoyi won the girls’ doubles title at 2022 Wimbledon and won the gold medal in women’s singles at the 2023 African Games, held in Ghana in March this year. She is currently a member of the women’s tennis team at Auburn University in the United States. |
