(July 29, 2024) The 2024 Atlanta Open, the final iteration of the tournament, held its grand finale at Atlantic Station on Sunday and into early Monday morning. This year’s tournament, celebrating 15 years in Atlanta, featured more than 60 world-class ATP Tour professionals. The tournament is one of only 10 ATP Tour events in the United States this season and was televised worldwide to more than 80 countries.
Finalists Jordan Thompson and Yoshihito Nishioka battled through a near five-hour rain delay, resuming the championship match mid second set around 11:30 p.m. EST.
Nishioka defeated Thompson 4-6, 7-6(2), 6-2 to win his third career ATP Tour title.
The doubles final between Andre Goransson/Sem Verbeek and Nathaniel Lammons/Jackson Withrow (2) began at 1:01 a.m. EST. Lammons/Withrow defeated Goransson/Verbeek 6-4, 4-6, 12-10 to become the first duo to win back-to-back Atlanta Open Titles.

Final

Notes:
- Nishioka saved 10/11 break points in the match.
- With the win, Nishioka secures his 3rd career ATP Tour title. All three have come on hard court.
- Nishioka is the first champion in tournament history not from the United States (10) or Australia (3).
- With a title win, he returns to the Top 50 for the first time since January this year.
- Nishioka improves to 5-7, including four straight, in matches against Top 50 players after starting the season 1-7.

Notes:
- Lammons / Withrow are the first duo to defend the doubles title in tournament history.
- Lammons / Withrow to join B. Bryan (2015, 2017), M. Bryan (2015, 2017), and Ebden (2011-12) as the only two-time doubles champions in tournament history.
- Lammons, 30, is 8-6 in ATP Tour finals, securing his 5th title on home soil after 2022 San Diego, 2023 Newport, 2023 Atlanta, and 2023 Winston-Salem, all w/Withrow.
- > Withrow, 31, is 8-6 in ATP Tour finals, winning all 8 titles with fellow Americans (7 – Lammons, 1 – Sock).
